Young Adult

Early Adulthood can feel both exciting and confusing.  We help young adults explore identity, career choices, independence and relationships to build confidence and a path that feels right.

Your twenties can be a whirlwind of change, moving away from home, exploring your identify, juggling school or career and building new relationships.  It's normal to feel overwhelmed, anxious or unsure of the future.  At Stillbrook Counseling we offer specialized therapy for young adults, college students and emerging professionals to help you navigate these challenges with confidence.

Support for College Students and Emerging Adults

You might be starting college, exploring a new career or trying to figure out what adulthood means for you.  It's common to experience stress, anxiety, loneliness or self-doubt during these transitions.  Therapy provides a safe space to explore who you are, clarify your values, and develop skills for coping with stress, social anxiety and perfectionism.

At Stillbrook Counseling, we draw on evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you manage anxious thoughts, build resilience, and improve self-esteem.  I am also training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to further support clients dealing with trauma and distress.  Sessions are tailored to your unique experiences so you can feel heard, understood and empowered to make choices that align with your goals.
